What we do
Electrical Services for Your Home or Business
Panel & Breaker Box Upgrades
Chavez Electric upgrades breaker boxes and service panels so your home can safely carry today's load. If your panel is outdated, full, or tripping breakers, we replace it and bring the service up to current code, from the meter to the last circuit.

Wiring Repair & Rewiring
Many homes around Metairie and New Orleans have decades-old wiring that was never meant for modern demand. We trace problems, repair damaged runs, and rewire rooms or whole houses so every circuit is safe, grounded, and ready for the way you live now.

EV Charger Installation
We install Level 2 EV charging stations at homes and businesses, sized correctly for your panel and vehicle. That means the dedicated circuit, the mounting, and the final connection, so you charge safely and at full speed every night.

Generator Installation & Backup Power
Hurricane season is a fact of life here. We install standby and portable generator hookups so the lights, the fridge, and the sump pump keep running through an outage, with the transfer switch sized to your panel and a walkthrough before we leave.

Lighting Installation & Upgrades
Chavez Electric upgrades light fixtures and designs lighting that suits your home, from chandeliers and pendants to recessed cans, dimmers, and outdoor security lighting. We plan the circuit before the fixture goes up, so every switch does exactly what you expect.
